Robyn hails from Inchinnan in Scotland, but is currently living in Perth,WA and working for the Western Australia Police Pipe Band.
She begun lessons at the National Piping Centre with Gordon Walker for her 6th birthday and was then taught by Keith Bowes Snr. for 8 years.
She played with Johnstone Pipe Band, before joining the Grade 3 SLOT Band in 2011 - progressing to the Grade 1 band after 3 years.
Robyn attended Plockton Music School where she was taught by Iain MacFadyen and also graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with a BMus(Hons) in Scottish Music - Piping.
Her biggest musical influences have been Terry Tully, Finlay MacDonald, Angus Lyon, and the Cape Breton, NS style.
She's also a keen step dancer, rock climber, and whistle player(on the soundtrack for the new Disney film “Artemis Fowl”)
