Nicky stays in Greenock, Scotland and started playing pipes at the age of 8 with tuition at the Inverclyde Piping Project.
He joined St. Laurence O'Toole after the 2016 season and before this played for various bands including Inverclyde Juvenile, Glasgow Skye Association and Dowco Triumph Street.
He has played in all the majors since joining the band an has won several majors along the way since.
