Gavin started his piping with the Inverclyde Piping Project - taught by Ian Darroch and Iain Morrison.
He played with Inverclyde Juvenile Pipe Band before moving to The Glasgow Skye in Grade 2, winning both the Scottish and European championships.
In 2014, he made the jump to Grade 1 with the O'Toole's - achieving 3rd in the World's in his first year.
Standing across the band from Keith O'Malley made all the trips over to Dublin worth it.......
