Louise hails from Denmark and started playing drums at the age of 7.
Since her Dad is a piper, she was curious to join the practices, but of course, ended up with the drummers ;-)
After years of playing at home with different Grade 4 bands, Louise wanted to try and move up the grades, so went to Canada and played with the Maple Ridge Pipe Band (Grade 2) for two seasons 2001-2002 and after that played with SFU for three seasons from 2003-2005, winning the sash in 2004.
Louise then had a break from pipebands - found a husband and had 2 girls - and then, wanting to get back in the game, started in the newly founded Grade 2 band, Balagan, and took over as LD shortly after.
She played with Balagan for three seasons before joining SLOT in 2019, which is a huge DREAM COME TRUE for her, as she has always admired the bands style, dynamic range and musical performances :)
